State of Sound Entertainment was established in Summer 2002, under the name PRL Disco Services, when it was run single handedly by Pete Littlewood. In the early days, all the equipment was second-hand from his uncle, without whom we probably wouldn't be operating our service today. In August 2005, Michael Holroyd joined the team, and then in Dec 2006 Pete decided he was going to have a rest for the DJ Scene.  Michael has now taken over, where Pete left off, and will now run the Disco's with Pete's occasional help.

We are now pleased to be able to offer Karaoke Disco's and we have added some extra lights to the current set-up, and hopefully we will have new pictures on here soon.

We have Full Public Liability Insurance and all our equipment is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT) for electrical safety every year. This can be proved by certificates we hold.

Having this insurance ensures that we are covered in the unfortunate event of a client having an accident at one of our events. The PAT testing makes sure that all our equipment is electrically safe. Most venues will ask for proof of these two items before they will allow to us to work on their premises.
